| Men Win at Bedford 12k |

With John Mortimer's course record setting performance, the men's open team easily won the New England Championship 12k on May 22 in Bedford, New Hampshire Mortimer's time of 36:36 (4:55 per mile pace) topped the previous record; 36:48 by Mark Donahue (CMS) set in 2000. Wilson Perez finished in 2nd (37:17) and the other scorers were Andy Wedlake (6th, 38:18), Ricardo Santos (10th, 38:46) and Brian Mahoney (14th, 39:19). Their combined time of 3:10:16 easily defeated the Greater Lowell time of 3:13:06. After two events in the Grand Prix Series, the BAA and Greater Lowell are tied with 43 points. Next up is the Rhody 5k on June 13 in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
